Viktor Mátyás Farkas, environmental biologist and climate expert at WWF Hungary. He started his studies at University College London (Environmental Biology), where he wrote his thesis on the changing distribution of species due to global climate change, followed by an Erasmus scholarship (MSc in Applied Ecology).

At WWF Hungary, he worked on climate change impacts and adaptation options, water management, and the municipal environment. He focuses on the adaptation of the already existing water management systems and expected impacts in Hungary. He is interested in nature-based, green infrastructure solutions, landscape restructuring, wetland management, and wetland restoring as well.
