Michele is working as a Project Adviser in the LIFE Energy and Climate Unit of the CINEA, the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency, where he is responsible for energy transition in cities and regions and innovative financing schemes for sustainable energy investments.

He is also the leading officer for two flagship initiatives dedicated to local and regional energy agencies (Managenergy) and to financing and implementation of sustainable energy investments in European cities and municipalities (European City Facility)
