Elis Vollmer

Project Manager

Elis Vollmer is a project manager at the Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies, University of Tartu, and works as an acting head of the Centre of Renewable Energy, Estonian University of Life Sciences. She has MSc in environmental protection.


She has worked in the Centre of Renewable Energy since 2006, focusing mainly on co-operation and dissemination activities. She is responsible for organising annual national conference “Investigation and Usage of Renewable Energy Sources”, which brings together researchers, entrepreneurs and politicians to discuss most pressing matters and new developments in the field. In 2018-2019, she was Estonian representative in the International Energy Agency, assigned by Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications.
She has extensive experience in leading renewable energy projects (both national and EU level), project coordination, trainings and communication. During the past twelve years, she has improved the cooperation network with local municipalities and policy makers in Estonia and CEE region. She is the chairwoman of the board for the international Central and Eastern European Sustainable Energy Network (CEESEN).
