„Think Battery” – Becoming more dynamic in energy consumption
- Energy transition will proceed amid major technological gaps in the next 15-20 years –
the electricity storage challenge is far the most acute of them.
- While the long-term view is a decentralized energy system, in the transitionary period we
will need a more centralized network, top-down system and restrictive means of demand
- Municipalities may take a role that goes far beyond their current sectoral duties.
They may constitute a separate tier of aggregation, balancing and also in communication
between macro and micro entities.
